Batman is a fictional superhero character, a caped crusader who battles the forces of evil in Gotham city. Batman's secret identity is Bruce Wayne, a millionaire who lives in a great mansion with his faithful butler Alfred. Bruce Wayne does not actually have any super human powers, like Superman or Mr. Incredible, but rather uses his wealth, physical and intellectual abilities to fight crime. He is known as Batman for his black, bat-like costume and many ingenius crime fighting accessories. He is also driven by the troubling murder of his parents when he was a young boy, and his quest to seek revenge on those who killed them. Batman has appeared in comics since before the 1940s, as well as major films and video games, as well as being made into toys and merchandise. Batman has also been seen to pair up with a sidekick Robin, and sometimes Batgirl. Other fictional charactes who Batman is seen to battle areThe Joker, Penguin, Two-Face, Poison Ivy and Cat Woman.
