The Ninja Turtles, or also known as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are fictional anthropomorphic turtle characters who have appeared in television shows, comics and movies since 1984. The Ninja Turtle names are Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo and Michelangelo and they live in the sewers of New York City. 

Each ninja turtle character is associated with the color of their masks, which are red, blue, purple and orange. However, occasionally people confuse the orange ninja turtle with a yellow ninja turtle. The ninja turtles are crime fighting heroes, trained by Splinter, an anthropomorphic rat, and battle a myriad of evil character such as aliens and megalomaniac criminals. 

The ninja turtles have also featured recently in a movie known as TMNT, which has sparked a new interest in Ninja Turtle adult and children costumes. Ninja Turtle costumes are a great idea for adults and kids, as they fit into many party themes such as Super Heroes, Animation and Animal themed parties.
