Tinkerbell is a fictional character originally appearing as a character in Peter and Wendy, created Tinkerbellin the early 1900s.  Later, the Peter and Wendy story was adapted into the adventures of Peter Pan in which featured more prominently.  Tinkerbell is a small fairy/pixie, who is Peter Pan's friend and fellow adventurist.  She often is his voice of reason, helping and even rescuing him in many situations, but for the exception of anything involving Wendy.  It has been said that Tinkerbell's looks are based on the actress Marilyn Monroe, as she is attractive with an hour glass figure, blond hair and big blue eyes.  She is always seen wearing her short, green, strapless dress with green slippers, and a pair of wings which enable her to fly around sprinkling fairy dust.
